Conducting business with integrity
We are governed by a strong set of ethical standards, which set expectations for our own operations and for our suppliers. We do business with integrity by putting in place measures to promote transparency, ethical conduct and accountability throughout our global operations and supply chain.
Code of Conduct
The Modern Cloud Cargo Code of Conduct sets the standard for our behaviour and covers many aspects of our business, including anti-corruption, bribery, competition, conflicts of interest, human rights, whistleblowing and environmental impact. We expect all employees to comply with our Code of Conduct.

Due to the nature of our business, we rely heavily on third-party suppliers. We expect our suppliers to share and live up to the ethical standards as outlined in the
Modern Cloud Cargo Supplier Code of Conduct. To support them in this, we invest in building strong relationships and maintaining open and direct communication.
Our approach to responsible supply chain management is outlined in our Responsible Sourcing Framework. This framework ensures that our standards are maintained throughout our supply chain and reinforces our commitment to meeting all relevant legislation and customer requirements.
Whistleblower system
To safeguard our compliance culture, Modern Cloud Cargo has a whistleblower system for employees or external parties to report any potential misconduct. This system is hosted by an independent provider and enables employees and other third parties to report any concern about breaches of the Code of Conduct and other inappropriate behaviour so relevant action can be taken.
Reports can be made anonymously if the reporter wishes to do so and if permitted by local law. The reporter is protected from retaliation, whether the report was made anonymously or not.
While Modern Cloud Cargo encourages the use of the internal whistleblower system, external reporting channels can also be used to address concerns or breaches to local authorities.

Internal Audit Framework
We monitor the effectiveness of our compliance programme through several processes, including our internal audit and controlling framework, escalation and whistleblower systems, and investigation procedures. A central part of our control set-up consists of conducting internal on-site audits covering, among other, key aspects of our compliance programme, including anti-bribery and corruption measures. The internal audit cycle covers all Modern Cloud Cargo countries, on average, in a four-year cycle.
A responsible approach to tax
With operations in many countries all over the world, Modern Cloud Cargo is subject to many different tax laws. Paying taxes is both business expense and an integral part of our societal responsibility. Through our tax contributions, we support the countries and communities where we do business, both directly and indirectly. Our Global Tax Policy guides all tax-related decisions and emphasises our strong focus on compliance.
Data ethics
In a data-driven world, keeping information and data secure from cybercriminals is essential. We are committed to handling data ethically and securely, fully complying with all relevant legislation and legal standards on data usage, storage and processing. This involves ensuring that all appropriate safeguards are in place to maintain data confidentiality, integrity and availability. These practices apply to both our own data and to the data of our customers.
